Menu-Planning Workshop: Toolkit + Recipe Share

We all know about the physical, social, and emotional benefits of a strong family dinner habit… but who has the time to make it happen? If you’re committed to a family dinner practice, but your fall is shaping up to be even busier than your summer, you’ll need a robust repertoire of recipes that are perfectly suited to those crazy-busy weeknights: delicious, quick, and stress-free. And you’ll need the tools to keep those recipes organized so that you can access them at a moment’s notice. With strong menu-planning skills, you’ll be able to eat great, even when life gets crazy.

In this workshop, Chef Ariel Voorhees of Gather Round Chef Service will show you how to menu-plan like a boss.

You’ll learn:

  • how to build a sustainable menu-planning practice

  • how to spot a great weeknight recipe

  • how to save and organize recipes to suit your needs

  • tried-and-true recipes shared by Chef Ariel & other participants

Bring your computer or tablet so that you can use this time to gather lots of ideas, put those ideas into practice, and build a sustainable menu-planning routine! You’ll walk away with tons of awesome weeknight recipes, a user-friendly toolkit for organizing them, and the confidence to prepare a great family dinner no matter what life throws at you.

About the instructor:

Chef Ariel Voorhees is the owner of Gather Round Chef Service, which offers custom cooking to help busy families connect and relax over a good dinner each night. She believes that the family dinner is the foundation of a stable, happy, and healthy family. But she also lives in the modern world, which is constantly threatening to destroy that sacred family space! Through custom fridge- and freezer-packing, cooking lessons, and workshops like those at She Works, Chef Ariel is here to help busy families get around the dinner table more easily.
